HOW ACQUIRED:
Selected by Seattle with the first of two seventh-round choices (225th overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft. Will make the transition from college defensive tackle to offensive guard in the NFL.
COLLEGE:
Played 35 games with 20 starts along the defensive line at North Carolina State. Posted 86 tackles (65 solo), 22 tackles for loss, 11.0 sacks, 33 quarterback pressures, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries for the Wolfpack. RS Senior: Played in nine games with seven starts, returning from a foot fracture in the preseason and missing the first four contests. Voted team captain by his teammates prior to the season. Had 22 tackles (16 solo) and 2.0 sacks in his final season. RS Junior: Started all 12 games played and posted career-highs in tackles (46, 33 solo), tackles for loss (13), sacks (6.0) and passes defensed (3). Earned honorable mention All-ACC honors. Five of his six sacks came in the final four games of the season. Posted 10 tackles, four tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks in best game of season at Clemson. RS Sophomore: Reserve defensive tackle who played in all 12 games with one start. Tallied three tackles, including an eight-yard sack, and had three quarterback pressures at Virginia Tech. Posted a season-best four tackles against Duke. Had five tackles for loss and three sacks for the season. RS Freshman: Saw action in two games at defensive end; seven snaps versus William & Mary and six at South Carolina. Recorded one tackle and a quarterback pressure. Spent some time at linebacker during 2008 spring drills.

A linebacker in high school who recorded an impressive 195 tackles in 12 games as a senior at Mooresville High. Recorded 14 tackles for loss, including 6.0 sacks, and recovered four fumbles as a senior. Notched 115 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks as a junior. PrepStar all-region selection. Won the Class 3A heavyweight wrestling championship for the state of North Carolina. Majored in sport management.
